The RYOBI APPLAUSE 8000 mechanism is made entirely of metal with a futuristic design. The recoil system eliminates the backward movement of the handle when the pull stops. Flat rotary oscillation gives perfect thread/line management. It offers a front brake system with micro-adjustments. The reel body, spool and handle are made from lightweight aluminum that is suitable for use in saltwater. It is reinforced mechanism to support the use of line, and has a tapered spool to help cast long shots.
